Poll of U.S. Muslims Reveals Ominous Levels Of Support For Doctrine of Shariah, Jihad

According to a new nationwide online survey  of 600 Muslims living in the United States, significant minorities embrace supremacist notions that could pose a threat to America’s security and its constitutional form of government.

The numbers of potential jihadists among the majority of Muslims who appear not to be sympathetic to such notions raise a number of public policy choices that warrant careful consideration and urgent debate, including: the necessity for enhanced surveillance of Muslim communities; refugee resettlement, asylum and other immigration programs that are swelling their numbers and density; and the viability of so-called “countering violent extremism” initiatives that are supposed to stymie radicalization within those communities.

Overall, the survey, which was conducted by The Polling Company for the Center for Security Policy (CSP), suggests that a substantial number of Muslims living in the United States see the country very differently than does the population overall.  The sentiments of the latter were sampled in late May in another CSP-commissioned Polling Company nationwide survey.

According to the just-released survey of Muslims, a majority (51%) agreed that “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to shariah.”  When that question was put to the broader U.S. population, the overwhelming majority held that shariah should not displace the U.S. Constitution (86% to 2%).

More than half (51%) of U.S. Muslims polled also believe either that they should have the choice of American or shariah courts, or that they should have their own tribunals to apply shariah. Only 39% of those polled said that Muslims in the U.S. should be subject to American courts.

These notions were powerfully rejected by the broader population according to the Center’s earlier national survey.  It found by a margin of 92%-2% that Muslims should be subject to the same courts as other citizens, rather than have their own courts and tribunals here in the U.S.

Even more troubling, is the fact that nearly a quarter of the Muslims polled believed that, “It is legitimate to use violence to punish those who give offense to Islam by, for example, portraying the prophet Mohammed.”

By contrast, the broader survey found that a 63% majority of those sampled said that “the freedom to engage in expression that offends Muslims or anybody else is guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and cannot be restricted.”

Nearly one-fifth of Muslim respondents said that the use of violence in the United States is justified in order to make shariah the law of the land in this country.

Center for Security Policy President, Frank J. Gaffney, Jr., observed:

The findings of the Center for Security Policy’s survey of Muslims in America suggests that we have a serious problem.  The Pew Research Center estimates that the number of Muslims in the United States was 2.75 million in 2011, and growing at a rate of 80-90 thousand a year.  If those estimates are accurate, the United States would have approximately 3 million Muslims today.  That would translate into roughly 300,000 Muslims living in the United States who believe that shariah is “The Muslim God Allah’s law that Muslims must follow and impose worldwide by Jihad.”

It is incumbent on the many American Muslims who want neither to live under the brutal repression of shariah nor to impose it on anybody else to work with the rest of us who revere and uphold the supremacy of the U.S. Constitution in protecting our nation against the Islamic supremacists and their jihad.

Zing! Music legend has awesome response to Obama’s gun grab

Music legend Charlie Daniels wants to know how President Obama can argue that he worries about criminals getting firearms when he pardoned roughly 6,000 convicted drug felons two months ago. The president issued executive orders changing the way gun sales are monitored and carried out on Tuesday, redefining a gun “dealer” to include many people who… (more…)

Time to Start Paying Attention: Why Saudi Arabia Might Pull the US into Another War

After Saudi Arabia executed prominent Shi’ite cleric, Sheikh Nimr Baqr al-Nimr, and 46 other people, protesters stormed the Saudi embassy in Tehran on Saturday, ransacking and setting fire to the building and its contents. In a surprise response the following day, Saudi Arabia announced it would sever diplomatic ties with Iran — giving Iranian diplomats 48 hours to evacuate, while recalling its own diplomats back from Iran.

“This Saudi-Iranian sudden and acute crisis is a very worrisome development, and we must at all costs avoid that it produces a chain of violent consequences in the region,”warned United Nations mediator, Staffan de Mistura, in an email to the New York Times.

“This is a very disturbing escalation,” said Michael Stephens, an analyst with the Royal United Services Institute research center in London, according to the Times. “It has enormous consequences for the people of the region, and the tensions between the two sides are going to mean that instability across the region is going to continue.”

On Monday, three Sunni-led nations — Bahrain, Sudan, and the United Arab Emirates joined the Saudis in breaking or greatly reducing diplomatic relations with Iran.

Despite prior international calls to grant the outspoken cleric clemency — and sharp warnings from Iran of dire consequences should the execution be carried out — the al-Saud monarchy pushed ahead with its message via mass execution, ironically intended to quash possible violence against the State. As promised, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a sharp rebuke condemning the execution of al-Nimr, published on his official website:

“Doubtlessly, this innocent martyr’s blood, which was spilled unjustly, will quickly show its effect and the divine vengeance will befall the Saudi politicians.

“This innocent scholar had neither incited people to take up arms nor had he hatched any covert plot, and the only activity he did was open criticism [of the Saudi regime] […]

“The Almighty God shall not ignore the innocents’ blood and the unjustly spilled blood will backfire on the politicians and the executives of this regime very quickly.

In a press conference on Sunday, Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir stressed that Riyadh would not allow Tehran to put the kingdom’s security in peril. He also cautioned the monarchy would reject all criticism of the Saudi justice system.

Al-Jubeir called Tehran “a regional menace for its smuggling of arms and explosives and its previous harboring of al-Qaeda militants” and “the aggressive statements of the Iranian regime encouraged the attacks on Saudi [embassies], adding that Iran has a history of supporting terrorism, citing its support to the bloody regime of Bashar al-Assad.” Responding to a journalist’s question, “Al-Jubeir said the Iranian government is involved in the attacks on the Saudi embassy, adding that Iranian security were present at the scene, yet they never attempted to drive out the protesters.” He called on the international community to “review Iranian intransigence,” and portentously added, “all options are open for us to deter Iran.”

It’s difficult to discredit comparisons of the Sunni al-Saud monarchy to the brutal Islamic State terrorists it and the West claim to be at war with; in fact, the only element missing in the likeness was videotaped footage of the nearly 160 known beheadings it carried out last year. Not to mention, a mass execution of this scale hadn’t been exacted by the kingdom since 1980, when 63 insurgents who had seized the Grand Mosque in 1979 were publicly beheaded. Though Riyadh normally executes those convicted in common areas for all to see, Saturday’s killings were hidden from the public. That became a further point of contention for demonstrators, who suspected such secrecy indicated political rather than legal motivation — especially since al-Nimr’s popularity had much to do with empowering the Shi’ite minority, which included piercing criticism of the House of Saud.

In the Independent, Robert Fisk explained the rage sparked by the cleric’s politicized execution:

“For Sheikh Nimr was not just any old divine. He spent years as a scholar in Tehran and Syria, and was a revered Shia [sic] leader of Friday prayers in the Saudi Eastern Province, and a man who stayed clear of political parties but demanded free elections, and was regularly detained and tortured — by his own account — for opposing the Sunni Wahabi Saudi government. Sheikh Nimr said that words were more powerful than violence. The authorities’ whimsical suggestion that there was nothing sectarian about this most recent bloodbath — on the grounds that they beheaded Sunnis as well as Shias — was classic ISIS rhetoric.”

Grouping Sheikh al-Nimr and three Shi’ite political activists together with 43 Sunnis accused of acting in concert with al-Qaeda in the region belies the Saudis’ true intentions to deliberately provoke archenemy Iran and its Sunni allies.

Sheikh Nimr Baqr al-Nimr’s execution means his brother, Mohammed al-Nimr, must now examine every move by the kingdom like a hawk. Mohammed’s son, Ali Mohammed Baqir al-Nimr, has been awaitingcrucifixion in a Saudi prison for over four years, after a conviction stemming from his participation in Arab Spring protests. After the sudden beheading of his brother, Mohammed is fraught with worry over his son’s looming draconian death sentence, not knowing “from one moment to the next” when the Saudis might choose to carry out their punishment.

Ayatollah Khamenei’s statement carried an unmistakable message for supporters of the House of Saud, as well. According to the Office of the Supreme Leader,

“Strongly criticizing the silence of the self-proclaimed advocates of freedom, democracy, and human rights, and their support for the Saudi regime, who spills the blood of the innocent only for criticism and protest, Ayatollah Khamenei said: ‘The Muslim world and the entire world must feel responsible towards this issue.’”

On Sunday, State Department spokesperson Elizabeth Trudeau told the media that though the U.S. supports the right to peacefully protest, “we condemn in the strongest terms any attacks on diplomatic properties.”Trudeau cautioned both Saudi Arabia and Iran against“any actions that could further heighten tensions.”

Considering the Saudis’ abrupt end to further diplomacy with Iran, that impuissant warning obviously fell on deaf ears.

Resistance to last-resort antibiotic reaches Europe

Tens of thousands of migrants pouring into Europe are bringing infections that will soon be untreatable. Only a month after Chinese scientists reported finding a gene conveying resistance to a key antibiotic used by public-health officials as a last-resort drug against bacterial infections, the same mutation has been identified in Denmark. Colistin, the most common polymyxin-class… (more…)

The Day the Music Died

Today’s Author: Pastor Bill

Scripture: Matthew 24:3

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” NKJV

The Hippie Generation is arguably defined as 1962-1971. Ten years that changed a generation and ultimately changed the country. One of the anthems to capture the spirit of the times was American Pie by Don McLean in 1971. The song with its catchy melody has been present on the world airwaves ever since. The song/poem is said to relate to Buddy Holly, Vincent Van Gogh and Hopalong Cassidy. True as that maybe following is the story of how one brother (Doug) used this song to lead his little sister (Patty) to Christ.

My name is Pastor Doug Drucker and in the fall of 1971 I was walking past my younger sister’s bedroom. Out of the room emanated a familiar song which we both joined singing along with — BYE, BYE MS. AMERICAN PIE. My little teenage sister inquired of me as her older and the “wiser” one what the song was about. I sat on the edge of her bed as I gave her MY interpretation of the song:

A LONG, LONG TIME AGO
The disillusionment of the FREE LOVE movement had settled in on us as we sadly realized this world had no hope or answers to life’s pressing questions! I explained the only answer is eternal life with Jesus.

BAD NEWS ON THE DOORSTEP
The news and film footage of the carnage in the Vietnam War nightly on TV.

SINGING THIS WILL BE THE DAY THAT I DIE
Explained to sis the certainty of DEATH for us all! And at the time of death our spiritual choice would be made known for all eternity.

DID YOU WRITE THE BOOK OF LOVE, AND DO YOU HAVE FAITH IN GOD ABOVE, IF THE BIBLE TELLS YOU SO?
Songs first reference to the Bible! Asking what is this all about.

CAN MUSIC SAVE YOUR MORTAL SOUL?
The futility of secular music and the drug culture we were deliriously living in!

I WAS A LONELY TEENAGE BRONCIN’ BUCK
I — we were all lonely and broken! We once were bouncin’ bucks with optimistic expectations for our futures — but sadly they all failed.

NOW FOR TEN YEARS WE’VE BEEN ON OUR OWN
Depicts the hippie generation 1962-1971 searching for something! Not quite knowing what it was.

WHEN THE JESTER SANG FOR THE KING AND QUEEN,
OH, AND WHILE THE KING WAS LOOKING DOWN,
THE JESTER STOLE HIS THORNY CROWN.
THE COURTROOM WAS ADJOURNED;
NO VERDICT WAS RETURNED.
AND WHILE LENNON READ A BOOK OF MARX,
THE QUARTET PRACTICED IN THE PARK,
AND WE SANG DIRGES IN THE DARK
THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED.
All about Satan and the activities of his assigned demons to entrap an entire generation.

HELTER SKELTER IN A SUMMER SWELTER.
THE BIRDS FLEW OFF WITH A FALLOUT SHELTER,
EIGHT MILES HIGH AND FALLING FAST.
IT LANDED FOUL ON THE GRASS.
THE PLAYERS TRIED FOR A FORWARD PASS,
WITH THE JESTER ON THE SIDELINES IN A CAST.
The complete and utter hopelessness we felt as the Viet Nam War raged on — nuclear holocaust seemingly imminent and I well remember my dad digging a fallout shelter in our home. Add to that the brutal Sharon Tate murders sung about by the Beatles in Helter Skelter. Hopelessness was rampant.

Part 2 tomorrow!

Prayer: Father thank you that you have provided Jesus as the answer to hopelessness. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

Father please bring 1…………. 2…………. 3………….. into your kingdom.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

Stock Markets All Over The World Crash As We Begin 2016 |

Stock Markets All Over The World Crash As We Begin 2016

Dominoes - Public DomainThe first trading day of 2016 was full of chaos and panic.  It started in Asia where the Nikkei was down 582 points, Hong Kong was down 587 points, and Chinese markets experienced an emergency shutdown after the CSI 300 tumbled 7 percent.  When European markets opened, the nightmare continued.  The DAX was down 459 points, and European stocks overall had their worst start to a year ever.  In the U.S., it looked like we were on course for a truly historic day as well.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average wasdown 467 points at one stage, but some very mysterious late day buying activity helped trim the loss to just 276 points at the close of the market.  The sudden market turmoil caught many by surprise, but it shouldn’t have.  The truth is that a whole host of leading indicators have been telling us that this is exactly what should be happening.  The global financial crisis that began in 2015 is now accelerating, and my regular readers already know precisely what is coming next.

The financial turmoil of the last 24 hours is making headlines all over the globe.  It began in China.  Very bad manufacturing data and another troubling devaluation of the yuan sent Chinese stocks tumbling to a degree that we have not seen since last August.  In fact, the carnage would have probably been far, far worse if not for a new “circuit breaker” that China recently implemented.  Once the CSI 300 was down 7 percent, trading was completely shut down for the rest of the day.  The following comes from USA Today

Under a new market “circuit breaker” rule in China established last year, which is designed to slow down markets and halt panic in the event of moves of 5% or more, the CSI 300, a large-company stock index in mainland China was halted for 15 minutes in mid-afternoon trading after diving more than 5%. But when shares headed lower once again just minutes after the initial trading halt, and losses for the day swelled to more than 7%, the new circuit breaker rules kicked in, prompting a shutdown of mainland China’s stock market for the day, according to Bloomberg.

After the first 15 minute halt, panic set in as Chinese traders rushed to get out of their trades before the 7 percent circuit breaker kicked in.  This resulted in an absolutely chaotic seven minutes as investors made a mad dash for the exits…

The sell orders piled up fast on Monday at Shenwan Hongyuan Group, China’s fifth-biggest brokerage by market value.

China’s CSI 300 Index had just tumbled 5 percent, triggering a 15-minute trading halt, and stock investors were scrambling to exit before getting locked in by a full-day suspension set to take effect at 7 percent. When the first halt was lifted, the market reaction was swift: it took just seven minutes for losses to reach the limit as volumes surged to their highs of the day.

“Investors rushed to the door during the level-one stage of the circuit breaker as they fretted the market would go down further,” said William Wong, the head of sales trading at Shenwan Hongyuan in Hong Kong.

The financial carnage continued once the European markets opened.  Markets were red all across the continent, and things were particularly bad in Germany.  The DAX was down 459 points, and it is rapidly approaching the psychologically-important 10,000 barrier.  Overall, it was the worst start to a year that the European markets have ever experienced.

When U.S. markets opened, unexpectedly bad U.S. manufacturing data seemed to add fuel to the fire.  Monday morning we learned that our manufacturing sector is contracting at a pace that we haven’t seen since the last recession

America’s manufacturing sector shrank for the second straight month in December. The industry’s key index — ISM — hit 48.2% in December, the lowest mark since June 2009. Anything below 50% is a contraction and a month ago it hit 48.6%.

The index has fallen for six straight months.

The trend is certainly heading in a direction that would ring alarm bells,” says Sam Bullard, senior economist at Wells Fargo.

This is yet another sign that tells us that the U.S. economy has already entered the next recession.

And what happens to the markets during a recession?

They go down.

In addition to the bad data that we got from the U.S. and China, there was another number that was also extremely troubling.

South Korean exports have traditionally been considered a key leading indicator for the entire global economy, and on Monday we learned that they were down a whopping 13.8 percent in December from a year earlier…

One of the more reliable indicators of the global economy continues to confirm fears of a worldwide slowdown.

South Korean exports — also referred to as the world’s economic canary in the coal mine — fell 13.8% in December from a year earlier.

This was a deterioration from the 4.8% decline in November, and it was much worse than the 11.7% decline expected by economists.

The “nothing is happening” crowd may not be willing to admit it yet, but the truth is that a major global economic slowdown is already happening.

And what happened to global markets yesterday is perfectly consistent with the longer term patterns that have been emerging over the past six months or so.

In the weeks and months to come, things are going to get even worse.  There will always be days when the markets are up, but don’t let those days fool you into thinking that the crisis is over.  In the western world we are so accustomed to 48 hour news cycles, and many of us seem to be incapable of focusing on trends that develop over longer periods of time.

If I was going to put together a scenario for a global financial crisis for a textbook, what we have seen over the past six months or so would be perfect.  Things are playing out exactly how they should be, and that means big trouble for the rest of 2016.

But that doesn’t mean that we have to live in fear.  In fact, I just wrote an entire article entitled “2016: A Year For Living With No Fear“.  It is when times are at their worst that our character is put to the test.  Some will respond to what happens in 2016 with courage and strength, and others will respond with fear and panic.

As things start falling apart all around us this year, how will you respond?

Here’s how Obama plans to unilaterally curb your Second Amendment rights | BizPac Review

While-Your-Attention-was-Focused-on-the-Pope-Obama-Did-This-Read1

Here we go again with the pen and phone.

The White House Press Office published a “fact sheet” late Monday describing the executive actionsPresident Obama intends to sign to “reduce gun violence and make our communities safer.”

They cover four areas: Expanding the background check system, increasing the role of the ATF, increasing there reporting and treatment of mental health disorders, and promoting smart gun technology.

Background Check System:

Dealers that make a living by buying and selling firearms, whether from a storefront, on the Internet or at gun shows, must be licensed and conducting background checks.

Those who purchase weapons through trusts, corporations and other legal entities will require background checks.

He will increase staff to make the background check system more effective.

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives:

The president proposes expanding the role of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in an effort to enforce gun laws, and is asking for a budget increase for an additional 200 ATF agents for this purpose. He also wants ATF agents to track illegal gun sales through a proposed Internet Investigation Center.

Mental Health:

The president will Increase mental health treatment and reporting to the background check system, including:

One, “dedicate significant new resources to increase access to mental health care,” including a $500 million budget increase for this purpose.

Two, “include information from the Social Security Administration in the background check system about beneficiaries who are prohibited from possessing a firearm.”

And third, to “remove unnecessary legal barriers preventing States from reporting relevant information to the background check system.”

Smart Gun Technology:

Finally, the president proposes that the Departments of Defense, Justice, and Homeland Security increase the research into gun safety technology such as smart guns and promote its use.
