“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”  Hebrews 13:8  NKJV

Unchanging, unfailing and faithful.  Remember the days of Esther.  The destruction of the Jews was declared.  So they dropped to fasting and petition before the Lord.  Not much they could do but seek Him earnestly.

And sure enough, the Lord moved, His daughter Esther obeyed and risked her life to petition the king.  The rule of the land guaranteed her death, but the king granted exception.  And long story short, God ruled and changed the tide.

Fast and pray, even in our day.  There are things coming in our nation that will be hard for us if we do not get on our knees earnestly!  Do not believe your prayers and sacrificial fasting is not heard by the One who made it all.

He is great and mighty, and know He is working to answer and change things as we dig in.

Persist.  In Esther it says, “many of the people of the land became Jews, because fear of the Jews fell upon them.”  The people of God and the power of their Lord was noticed  (Esther 9:2).

“For I am the Lord, I do not change…”  Malachi 3:6  NKJV

I often challenge to fast with prayer one day a week… You can certainly do more if you would like.  God is amazing, and the way He answers is fruitful.

[If not able to fast three meals in a row, then you can spread the fasting meals out.  If diabetes or issue of the like, could you fast partially and cut out favored foods (eat just what is medically necessary)?]

In Christ, the One who paid it all,

and put his face between his knees” …and it affected a nation.
